Our season runs from September through to April, although we welcome new members at any time.

What you get

You get access to the entire annual programme of events; that’s around twenty presentations from award-winning photographers, assessment of your work by accredited external judges at our seven internal competitions, an on-line discussion group and our occasional workshops and field trips. You also get access to the Society’s sensor scope and monitor calibrator to say nothing of the opportunity to meet scores of like-minded enthusiasts willing to share their knowledge and experience.

How much does it cost?

Our annual membership subscription, which is due at the start of each season, is currently £50.00  – or £25.00 for students and those under 18 years.

If you join after 1 January, you pay half the normal fee for the remainder of the season – that is £25.00 for adults and £12.50 for students and those under 18 years.

How to pay

You can pay by cash or cheque, bank transfer or standing order. Cheques are to be payable to “Chester Photographic Society”. Bank transfer payment details are in your membership email. For standing order payments, download a standing order mandate here or set up a standing order using your bank’s online banking facility, using the same payment details as for bank transfers.
