Graham Jones – President’s Evening

Our annual programme of events consists of:

  • weekly meetings from September to April comprising presentations from award-winning photographers and assessment of your work by accredited external judges in our seven internal competitions (more than 30 events);
  • an online discussion group every three weeks, held using Zoom;
  • occasional workshops and field trips, organised by members.

As a result of the Coronavirus/ Covid-19 situation, our members are still concerned about holding physical meetings. Most of our talks this season continue to take place via Zoom videoconferencing. A couple of talks from local speakers are being held as in-person meetings. These are clearly marked in the diary pages. We will not be running any hybrid videoconference/ in-person events because of technical constraints.

Competitions are in-person events and we are recording these events to benefit members who cannot attend, or prefer not to.

Meetings begin at 7.20pm for 7.30pm.

If you are not a member, you are still welcome to attend a club meeting. We do ask you to make a small contribution of £3, which goes towards the costs of keeping the Society going such as fees to our speakers. For Zoom meetings, you can book a ticket through the meetings diary or by visiting our Eventbrite page. To attend in-person meetings please bring £3 in cash with you to pay on the door.
