The results from the L&CPU 2022 Annual Club DPI Competition are shown below. As we didn’t hold any Print competitions in the club this season, we only submitted images to the DPI sections Open and Nature. In the club rankings, out of the 38 clubs who entered the Open Section, Chester PS came joint 19th with 191 points. In the Nature section, out of 30 clubs, we came joint 11th with 98 points. The winning club in both sections was Chorley with 210 points in the Open Section and 107 in the Nature Section. Chester finished 15th overall in the DPI Competition.
Congratulations and thanks to Patricia Keegan, Ray Groome, Sue Champion, Vikki Naudi, Keith Fitzpatrick, David Melville, Terry Daltrey, Steve Gregory, John Wild and Jan Wilding whose images we used in our entry.

Once again, the COVID situation meant that all competitions were restricted to Digitally Projected Images only and run as online ‘Zoom’ meetings. Thanks to all the Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union judges who gave up their time to join us via Zoom and judge the images.
Over the seven different competitions a total of 294 images were submitted by 21 different entrants.
Congratulations to Jan Wilding who won Photographer of the Year for the third year running! Second place went to Patricia Keegan and third place to Ian Atkinson. Jan also won the Open DPI and the President’s Theme (Landscapes) DPI competitions.
The Nature DPI was won by John Wild, People DPI by Graham Latter and the Monochrome DPI by David Melville.
Congratulations to all the winners!
